French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his country’s intention to boost its initiative to form a contact group on Syria, noting that France is keen to find a political solution in the country and achieve stability in Iraq.
His remarks came in a joint press conference with Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday.
Macron said that France is in a contact with all the political parties and leaders in the region to consolidate and boost the establishment of the contact group.
